Growing in Christ
Growing in Christ is an outreach to new parents in our congregation. Upon the birth of a new baby or adoption of a child, cards and letters are sent congratulating the family. Materials about baptism and other family opportunities are also mailed to the family. The St. Matthew Staff, Child Care Staff and our Sunday Church School Nursery staff are made aware of the new babies and look forward to caring for them and teaching them about Jesus. The family is encouraged and invited to stay with their baby in the nursery and or take their child with them to their adult Sunday Church School class. Aware of the new schedule and busy life of a new baby and its family, we remind the parents that they are their child's first teacher. Teaching their child about Jesus, His love and saying prayers can begin at home. Our church family, including Nursery, Sunday School and Sunday Child Care, will be here when you and your tiny one are ready.
