Located east of the church lobby, the St. Matthew Library was opened in 1975 with funds given in memory of Dr. Clarence S. Powers, Jr. a former educator for the York City School District.
Library volunteers invite and encourage all ages to visit the library which offers a large selection of books for children, teens and adults. DVD's, videos, audio-cassettes, books on tape, resource materials, Bible commentaries, Martin Luther’s works and the Encyclopedia of the Bible are also available
The Library is open every Sunday morning between 9:00 AM and 12:15 PM.
A Summer Reading Program for children is held annually.
Media reviews are often prepared to convey what's new in the library.
Media donations and financial donations are always welcome. Media items can also be placed in the Library in honor or in memory of a loved one.
We also have a Book Review Club that meets after reading a select book, some of which have appeared on the top 10 best sellers list. Call the church office to order the next book to be discussed and to find out the date that the Book Review Club meets again.
